Twenty-two World Cups for the next two years

The ICC meeting in Calcutta is a surprise presenting surprise. The Champions Trophy was to be held in India in 2021. But instead of the Champions Trophy, the Twenty20 World Cup will be held in India in that year. There is a T20 World Cup scheduled in Australia in 2020.

In the ICC Board meeting in Calcutta, it has been decided to host the Twenty20 World Cup in India instead of the 2021 Champions Trophy.

Earlier, two Twenty20 World Cups were held in two consecutive years. The T20 World Cup was held in England in 2009, in the West Indies next year. It was said because of the service, organizing another World Cup in 2010, preventing ICC World Twenty20 World Cup and Champions Trophy in the same year with the ICC World Cup and Champions Trophy. The World Twenty20 in the first Twenty20 World Cup in 2007 The Champions Trophy was the year of the second T20 World Cup in 2009.

Four T20 World Cups were held from 2010 to 2 years. But after the T20 World Cup in 2016, the tournament will be held after four years. The ICC has moved away from the announcement. Twenty-two World Cup participated in 16 teams, 8 in the Champions Trophy. The ICC said in the press release that this change is necessary to give more teams the chance to play in the world.
